Jessica Jones is the second Marvel superhero to see a series order on Netflix, just after Daredevil.

Kristen Ritter stars as the titular character and for a heroine who is facing a tragic end to her stint as a superhero, the recently released teaser looks like rebuilding her life involves a lot of alcohol and aggression, as noted by USA Today.

The clip showed a messy apartment that eventually led to the heroine's bedroom, who is sound asleep as her clock strikes 3 pm. As the alarm went off, the retired superhero uses her super strength to shut the alarm off, incidentally breaking it into pieces.

ComicBook.com reported that the series stars Kristen Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, David Tennant as Kllgrave and Rachael Taylor as Patsy Walker. Other cast members include Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty and Wil Traval.

Before you watch yet another superhero series, here are some things you should know about Jessica Jones, as noted by Time Magazine:

Like many superheroes, Jessica Jones is an orphan. She got her powers one day when her family was riding from a trip from Disney World when a military convoy with radioactive chemicals collided with her family's car. Her parents and brother were instantly killed, but she went into a coma and upon waking up, she discovered that she had super-strength and had the ability to fly.

She went to school with another Marvel superhero: Spider-Man. In fact, it was after she saw a fight between Spidey and Sandman when she decided to use her superpowers for good, so she became Jewel. Unfortunately, her stint didn't last long, so she decided to become a New York private detective instead. There is also no news as to whether or not Peter Parker will be making an appearance on the show.

Jessica Jones's story is Rated R, and she made her debut on a more mature comic that included swearing and sex scenes. However, even her humor is biting and sarcastic Netflix touted the show as a psychological thriller, so there's no telling how they're going to treat Jones.

She is the first to play a part of a female superhero revolution on-screen. However, Marvel has already made a few films and TV shows Jessica Jones will be the first to center on a woman with superpowers. Peggy Carter from "Agent Carter" may have been a great hero in her own right, but she still remained human.

Netflix will air all 13 episodes of "Jessica Jones" on November 20.
