Juan Manuel Marquez is expected to collect a cool $13 to $15 million paycheck if he accepts a fifth fight with rival Manny Pacquiao next year, multiple sources reported on Monday.

Marquez, who repeatedly insisted he has no interest in fighting again the Filipino boxing icon, would be entitled to a 50-50 split on the fight purse, should he agree to duke it out again with Pacquiao inside the ring.

Top Rank Promoter Bob Arum is reportedly pushing to make Pacquiao-Marquez V happen next year after seeing Pacman's Pay-Per-View plunged deep in his latest fight against Brandon Rios (Battle in Cotai reportedly earned just roughly 500,000 PPV buys in the United States).

"Bob Arum of Top Rank wants Marquez as Pacquiao's opponent for this fight date, and he doesn't seem ready to take no for an answer," Fight News stated via Boxing News 24.

Marquez vs. Pacquiao V

Though Marquez stressed several times already that the Pacquiao chapter of his career was done, the lure of a $15 million paycheck could change the situation quickly, including his firm stance against taking on his rival again inside the ring.

Marquez has been critical about Pacquiao's recent victory over Brandon Rios on Nov. 23, saying he was never impressed by Pacman's win because he believed his foe was perfectly handpicked by Top Rank Promotions.

"It was important for Manny Pacquiao to look good, so they gave him an opponent like Brandon Rios for his return and he looked impressive," Marquez said during an interview with Boxing Scene.

"I believe that Bob Arum is doing his job in getting him these types of opponents, but it will be important to see him face tougher competition and see how he looks against those kind of fighters after suffering that knockout," the Mexican added.

Then again, there were times that Marquez sounded open to fight Pacquiao, only if the Filipino agreed to fight him in Mexico.

At this point, it would be hard to rule out a possible fifth showdown between Pacquiao and Marquez, especially now that Top Rank desperately needs a big fight to open up 2014 with a bang.

Arum said that it could be either WBO Welterweight champ Tim Bradley or Marquez for Pacman's April fight. However, with the poor PPV and gates receipt results of the last Pacquiao vs. Bradley showdown, Marquez might be the only choice on his roster of fighters.
