It was a heartbreaking moment when Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert -- country's ultimate couple --called it quits a few months back. Neither Blake nor Miranda spoke about it, until now.

For the first time, Blake Shelton finally opened up about his split from Miranda on the Bobby Bones show, reported E! News.

"My life is all over the papers," Shelton said during the interview. However, that didn't mean that none of it was kept private. For instance, he explained the speedy divorce by admitting, "We knew if rumblings and rumors started coming out, they would be just that. By the time anybody knew anything, it was over. It was done."

He also said that divorce proceedings are fairly fast in Oklahoma. He shared on the interview, "Miranda and I didn't have any kids, and we had our prenuptial agreement, whatever we had. Once we filed for divorce, it was over in a nine- or 10-day waiting period."

When their divorce finally went on papers, Shelton decided to play a prank on the paparazzi instead of acting sad over it. He said about the prank, "I was like 'Screw those guys; I'm going out there and am gonna give 'em something to talk about.' So I said, put that bottle of vodka in that stroller and I'm gonna push it out to the car."

The pair is adamant that they're still friends, though. "Our whole thing was: You know, we're just going to be cool about this. It is what it is. We're buddies," Shelton said.

There were no details about the rumored infidelity that broke them up, although there have been reports that Shelton is ready to move in with another singer: Gwen Stefani. A source for Life & Style magazine shared, "They're looking for a home that has a pool and is very private," adding that "They need a place to go when they want to hook up or spend time together."

However, it looks like this rumor is false.

Stefani's reps shot down the rumors, reported by Page Six. The rep was direct to the point about it, telling the outlet, "It's completely untrue."

A friend of Shelton also told People that he's not seeing anyone yet. The friend said, "I think he's open to another relationship in the future, but just not now. He's friendly with everyone, but he's not carrying on with women. He's taking time for himself right now."

As for the real reason why Blake and Miranda called it quits --- we may never know.
