While the HTC One M10 will not be released before 2016, there are a lot of rumors surrounding the much-awaited device from the company. One of which is that the HTC O2 may actually be the name of the upcoming HTC One M10, but there haven't been reports to really support that theory. For now, let's stick with the name One M10.

The predecessor of the M10 wasn't a big success, and reports from inside the market, as Day Herald put it, is what is keeping HTC One M10 from being released, with HTC being badly hit, resulting from their removal in the Taiwan top 50 index.

On the upside, with a bad release at their heels, HTC is making sure that they won't be going wrong with the M10, which means that they will be more meticulous about the product, making sure that it's on the top tier before they release it to the market. As the outlet put it, the company is willing to make their users wait if it means that the M10 will guarantee their satisfaction.

So what can be expected from the upcoming model?

The Venture Capital Post noted that the HTC One M10 is going to come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 processor with 3GHz octa-core HMP cyclone technology. It will boast of a 5-inch 2k or 4k resolution display, with 4GB of RAM, and a 3500mAh battery.

For social media enthusiasts, the model will come with a 27-megapixel dual camera with autofocus and face detection. It also boasts of two powerful stereo speakers, with dual sim support, and a fingerprint scanner. For adventurers, there's a good news: the HTC One M10 is said to come with waterproof and dustproof certifications so it can go with you on adventure treks.

There are also rumors of the One M10 having a wireless charging feature similar to that of Samsung in its Galaxy 6 series, making this model a tough competitor in the market for next year's releases. With all these features, though, its price comes a bit steep, as it might range from $650 to $800.

All these speculations regarding the HTC One M10 haven't been confirmed by the company, however, which means that at best, they should be taken with a grain of salt. For now, all users will have to do is wait until official news from the Taiwanese tech company will come to light.

However, are you excited about the upcoming HTC One M10, or are you put off by its predecessor?
