Fox's new sci-fi drama "Almost Human" will return with an all-new episode in January. Unfortunately, Fox has not unveiled many details or even a title for the upcoming episode. However, a promo video shows Dorian talking to Detective John Kennex about the man who created him.

The last episode of "Almost Human," "Arrhythmia" teases what's ahead, including the arrival of John Larroquette, who will play a recurring role as a genius roboticist who is "sympathetic, highly intelligent and a bit broken," reports Cinema Blend. It's interesting to note that Larroquette's character is the man who created Dorian, a robot who is sympathetic, highly intelligent and a bit broken. Although Michael Ealy's character doesn't physically resemble Larroquette, the two may share an emotional connection between man and machine.

One of the stars of the show, Minka Kelly, who plays Detective Valerie Stahl, recently confessed that taking on the role in the sci-fi comedy series is more challenging than she anticipated being that she's "sci-fi illiterate."

"I'm very new to the sci-fi world and also rather sci-fi illiterate, so it's a lot of work for me to really understand what is going on here," Kelly told Calgary Sun. "Because there is so much more going on than just the words on the page. It is a challenge to make these words grounded and find the meaning to what I'm saying and why I'm saying it. It's a lot more challenging acting-wise than being in a conversation with someone and reacting to them and having an emotional sort of experience with another actor, which is what I'm used to. But it's really exciting to dive in and exercise this whole new muscle."

"Almost Human" returns Monday, January 6 on Fox. Watch a preview below.
