You know you've been secretly dreaming for "Scream Queens" to finally premiere, although unfortunately for you, there are already others who have seen the first episode. Reviews already came in and according to E! News, they were all pretty good.
However, the New York Times isn't too much of a fan, as the review noted Emma Roberts as someone who "marches through her role as a sorority-house storm trooper with a slightly grim determination, hunting down laughs that aren't always there." On the other hand, Cinema Blend's review described it at "smart and snark-driven". It also mentioned that the characters' harshness is "sometimes off-putting", but "it's balanced well by the show's approach to the horror elements, which are rife with humor."
Ryan Murphy's latest series will premiere tomorrow, and it seems really addictive, considering that Emma Roberts's character Chanel Oberlin will be the worst sorority girl to ever exist -- the kind of role that she's prone to taking, if you ever watched the Murphy-created "American Horror Story: Coven". The cast boasts of a slew of stars that include Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele, Nick Jonas, Abigail Breslin and Ariana Grande.
Said to be equal parts delicious and hilarious, the series is something to obsess over. As a treat, Murphy also spoke with E! News as to what can be expected in the new series. Here's what we learned:
For the killing, one person will be out every week. "This show is inspired by is my love of this Agatha Christie story, Ten Little Indians, where one by one people are kicked off," Murphy said. "Every week, without fail, one of our beloved cast members gets the heave-ho," he added.
The killer will not be revealed until the end, as well. "We have made a pact that we will not reveal who the killer is until the last night-to the cast or anyone. I believe we're going to do a two-hour blowout. It will get rolled out at the very end," the series creator noted.
But Murphy is no stranger to the internet and how crazy it's going to get, so he said that they will be shooting fake endings for the show, as well. "We'll shoot probably a couple because of the way the world is now. Someone always blows the plots out of the water," he pointed out.
