Excitement on Marvel's X-Men cinematic universe continue to rise especially after showrunner Simon Kinberg reveals key points and crossovers that is now shaping up the world of the mutants.

In an interview with MTV, Kinberg revealed the looming crossover between fan-favorite mutants.

"The idea is that we've sort of reset the timeline after 'Days of Future Past' in some ways, and if not erased, certainly allowed for change from 'X1,' '2,' '3,' everything from 'Days of Future Past' forward, 1973, everything we set now becomes canon," the 42-year-old filmmaker explained.

According to him, Gambit, Deadpool and the X-Men would co-exist in only one world which means that each character may appear in the other's "solo" movie.

"So the 'Gambit' movie, the 'Deadpool' movie, will exist in a world that acknowledges whatever happened in 'Days of Future Past' and moving forward," he declared.

While he explained that the different characters may not always interact, they will still be governed by the same rules.

"Doesn't mean they'll always interact with those characters, obviously, it's not like every movie has all the characters, but they all have to exist within the same rules. There will be interplay between different characters in different movies," he added.

With so many different characters, powers, locations and even timelines to remember, Kinberg also revealed that he keeps a chart of everything.

"I don't have it up on a wall, but I have it on my computer, and I have it sort of tattooed on my brain now too," he revealed.

"Nothing external, so that if I get knocked over the head, no one can read it. It's literally behind my eyelids. But yeah, we have a clear sense of the directions we want to take them in and in my mind at least, how we could start to cross-pollinate sort of with those characters that have their standalone movies," the filmmaker added.

Cinema Blend noted that while these revelations do not necessarily mean that the X-Men would have an Avengers-style movie soon the crossover still is a good move for Fox.

The first of these crossovers is Colossus' appearance in next year's "Deadpool" movie starring Ryan Reynolds.

"Despite being played by Andre Tricoteux rather than Daniel Cudmore, this is the same Colossus we've seen beating enemies with his organic steel fists in previous movies -- though it's unclear exactly how much of his history with the X-Men will be referenced in the Merc with a Mouth's film," the report read.

In 2016, X-Men fans are set to see the biggest battle the mutants have yet to face in "X-Men: Apocalypse" due in theaters on May 27.
