The anime adaptation of the popular manga series "Ajin: Demi-Human" will be airing on Netflix exclusively. Netflix and Polygon Pictures recently announced that the anime will be available worldwide, reports Slanted.

According to Moar Geek, the anime adaptation will hit TV screens in Japan by January 2016. The episodes will be available to Netflix subscribers three days after release on television.

Unfortunately, subscribers outside Japan will have to wait some months before they can stream "Ajin" on Netflix. For overseas subscribers, the anime will premiere in mid-2016, since Netflix will probably be waiting for the season to end, before releasing it worldwide.

All episodes of the anime will premiere at the same time globally. Fandom Post believes that that delay will also allow Netflix to install English dubs on the anime before the release.

For those unfamiliar with the manga, Crunchyroll gives a synopsis for "Ajin: Demi-Human," which states: "Seventeen years ago, an utterly immortal human was discovered on an African battlefield. Since then, more of these new and unknown life forms began to appear among mankind. These undying beings start to be known as 'demi-humans.'"

"One day, just before summer break, a Japanese boy leaving his high school is involved in a traffic accident that kills him on the spot. Then, he comes back to life. A huge bounty is placed on his capture. Now the boy's attempt to evade all of mankind begins."

The manga series was created by Gamon Sakurai and published by Kodansha Ltd. The anime will not be the first time "Ajin: Demi-Human" is made into a motion picture. In fact, three animated films are set to premier prior to the anime adaptation of the manga, states Moar Geek. The first film is titled "Ajin Part 1: Shodo." It is expected to hit theaters on November 27, 2015

"Ajin: Demi-Human" will be the second anime to exclusively appear on Netflix, reports Slanted. The first anime to appear on the streaming site was "Knights of Sidonia," which was received very well by Netflix subscribers last summer.

Netflix is probably trying to repeat its success last summer with "Ajin: Dem-Human." Being able to exclusively air the popular manga-turned-anime series will give it an edge over its known rival, Hulu.

Polygon Pictures allowing Netflix to exclusively air "Ajin: Demi-Human" on a global scale is very significant to the Anime world. The deal between Polygon and Netflix reveals that anime has a growing fan base and will continue to prosper in the global market.

Are you excited to see "Ajin: Demi-Human" on TV? Do you expect changes from the manga?
