After the Minnesota Vikings lost to the San Francisco 49ers on Monday, there was another match outside the Levis Stadium, this time between the fans of the two teams.
NBC Sports said that a video of the incident showed some 49ers fans punching a man believed to be cheering for the Vikings.
It also noted that the brawl ensued when the fans of both teams "were talking smack to each other, getting into each others faces."
According to NBC Sports, it was obvious that the lone Vikings fan was already slumped to the ground, hurt but his attackers continued kicking and punching him.
In a Facebook post, a certain Brandon Cosio shared the first-person experience on the incident noting that he thought it was the Viking fan who instigated the fight since he challenged the 49ers fans.
"A lot of fans from both sides were telling both people to stop and just walk to their cars. The Viking fan shoved his wife into a barrier to try to get to the 49er fan, then at that point the 49er fan walked away from the situation and that's when the Viking fan may have got a little cocky," Cosio explained .
He added that that the Viking fan turned around and told the 49ers fans behind him with "what's up, any of you fuckers want some?!"
"At that point everyone went silent for 2 seconds then as the Viking fan was turning around to walk away, the 49er fan in the black (at the beginning of the video who threw the first punch) tackled him to the ground. That's where the video starts," added Cosio.
The witness said a lot of people have already made comments on the incident without knowing first what really happened. He also shared that there were no cops in the area except for a security security officer who helped the brutally beaten man after trying to stop the 49ers gang from hurting him more.
"ZERO cops were on the scene. ZERO. Santa Clara Police Department were no where to be found. Hopefully they can show up and arrest the parties in this video. Also give recognition to the security guard in the yellow jacket who was first on the scene, brave man getting in the middle of that brawl," Cosio noted.
It was added by TMZ that the guard fearlessly responded to the commotion despite his being undersized and was able to successfully break the fight.
"Honchos at the security company tell TMZ Sports their staffer, who was Johnny-on-the-spot, is one of their star employees ... so they're not shocked he stepped up. They also say they're planning to honor his heroism," added the same report.
