Demi Lovato looked visibly upset and appeared to drop an angry F-bomb on "The X Factor" after it featured a drinking joke on the show's season finale Thursday night.

The joke began by noting the playful feud Lovato and "X Factor" judge and creator Simon Cowell shared on the show. Although Cowell often called the 21-year-old singer annoying, the show's producers took it one step further by playing a short clip that suggested that Lovato's ability to irritate Cowell was fueled by a mysterious beverage that she frequently drunk on the show.

However, the joke didn't sit well with Lovato who has been vocal about struggling with alcohol abuse in the past.

The "Heart Attack" singer seemed to mouth, "That's f----d up," as a green beverage was jokingly revealed as "annoying juice."

When the show's host Mario Lopez asked for her comment later, she appeared to force a smile as she said, "I think it's very, very clear since I don't drink anymore 'Annoying Juice' has become my new drink and I love it because I get to annoy Simon with it."

The night was closed out when duo Alex and Sierra won the title, reports Hollywood Life.

The "Skyscraper" hitmaker confirmed that she will quit her judging post on "The X Factor" next season.

"I started the show being a singer and a musician, and so I'm going to go back to that," Lovato said to reporters before Thursday's season three finale, reports Billboard. "It's been really great."

However, the insensitive drinking joke probably was not the kind of ending she was expecting.
