Verizon customers are currently getting treated to a slew of new updates, bringing many devices on its network up to newer Android versions. The latest recipient? The popular Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

Starting Friday, Dec. 20, Big Red began pushing out an Android 4.3 Jelly Bean software update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. The upgrade comes just two days after the carrier did the same for the Samsung Galaxy S3. Upgrade VRUEMJ9 can be snagged through Verizon's PC Upgrade Assistant for those too impatient to wait for the download notification to hit their handset, although it shouldn't be too long before all Galaxy Note 2s on Verizon's network can just download it over the air.

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is the first Android version update for the Galaxy Note 2 since Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, and contains a slew of new features. One of the main perks is Bluetooth 4.0 LE support, meaning Verizon Galaxy Note 2s will finally be able to fully interact with and connect with the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch.

The new patch also contains a number of security and performance enhancements alongside the usual bloatware. Galaxy Note 2 owners will also find several new features from the Galaxy S4's and Galaxy Note 3's TouchWiz interface, including an improved version of Multi-Window.

A full changelog can be found at Verizon's official support page.

The release of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 on Verizon's network means that all major national U.S. carriers have pushed out the update.
