Another anticipated creation from HTC is its rumored smartwatch after it has listed itself to be an Android Wear partner since the operating system was introduced.

GSM Arena dished that HTC is working on a round smartwatch with a 360x360px display.

Codenamed "Halfbreak," the upcoming device is believed to be revealed in an event this coming Sept 29.

According to Phandroid, HTC has been listed as a partner of Android Wear since its announcement more than a year ago.

"We haven't seen an Android Wear powered wearable from the Taiwanese company thus far, but that doesn't mean their continued downward spiral is going to stop them from pursuing their partnership," noted the same report.

Pocket-Lint agreed that HTC may soon unveil their first smart watch noting that the company was supposed to release one earlier this year after they partnered with sports clothing and accessories company Under Armour.

When eventually released in the market, the HTC watch is expected to be a "big player" since it is the first from the Taiwanese manufacturer, noted GeekSays.

Discussing the shape of the smartwatch, the same report said HTC could have opted to go with a round display instead of choosing a square one since other models were also circular.

"[This] doesn't come as a surprise, as the latest models introduced, like the Samsung Gear S2 or Huawei Watch, also sport the same form factor," added GeekSays.

Aside from these rumors, there are no additional details available on the smartwatch so fans are certainly anticipating the end-of-September event.

Meanwhile, NDTV Gadgets said that HTC is expected to launch two flagship smartphones on Sept 29.

It noted that two possible handsets are the HTC Butterfly 3 and HTC Aero A9.

A separate NDTV Gadgets report noted that earlier leaked images of the device show that its design profile is similar to the iPhone 6.

"The rear panel looks similar to that of iPhone 6, featuring two antenna strips on top and bottom alongside the same bold curved handset edges," added the same report.

In addition, Gospel Herald said there is still no confirmation from HTC about the specifications of the device but noted that it could sport a Quad HD or 1080p display with Gorilla Glass 4 and 2.5D curved edges.

As for its processor, the new phone instalment is believed to be powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 chipset with a Mali-T880 MP4 graphics processor and 4GB of RAM.

On the other hand, the Butterfly 3 is rumored to come with the Android 5.0 Lollipop, a 5.2-inch display and octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset and 3GB of RAM, as per NDTV Gadgets.
