No one likes crawling out of bed to go to school. You’ll snooze until the very last second, scramble to get your things together and run out the door. The thought of getting up for class is simply overbearing. No matter how studious and eager you are to learn, class is rarely cause for excitement. So why not pay someone to do it for you? If you have the money, you can just cough up the cash for someone to attend one of the world’s top colleges, posing as you. You get the degree and you don’t have to wake up for class. It’s a win win scenario. Now all you have to do is find the right person.
One man posted an ad on Craigslist seeking someone to do just that: attend Harvard under his name, pass all tests and graduate. Under the “writing gigs” section of the site’s Pittsburgh chapter, the man offered to pay for tuition, books, housing, $40,000 a year and a $10,000 graduating bonus.
“You must have either a 4.0 GPA in high school, or a 3.5 or higher GPA from a university to get hired for this.
Your age does not matter, but you must be a male since I have a male name.
I am looking for someone to attend Harvard University pretending to be me for four years, starting August 2014. I will pay for your tuition, books, housing, transportation, and living expenses and pay $40,000 a year with a $10,000 bonus after graduation. All you have to do is attend all classes, pass all tests, and finish all assigned work, while pretending you are me.
You do not need to worry about being accepted, I have already taken care of that.
If interested please email me a little info about yourself, and we can meet in person to discuss further.”
What do you think? It sounds like a reasonable request. Unfortunately, Craigslist didn’t think so and flagged it for removal.
