Microsoft Lumia fans won't have to wait too long for the release of the company's latest smartphones.

According to Geek Snack, Microsoft will be releasing their latest handsets -- the Lumia 940 and Lumia 1030 on September 24, and it will be equipped with their latest OS, the Windows 10, despite the fact that many are expecting these gadgets at the IFA Berlin convention, along with the Surface Pro 4. However, it seems that while the Surface Pro 4 is going to launch as expected at the IFA convention next week, it will take a bit later for the Lumia Phones, to arrive in stores.

The website noted that the Microsoft Lumia 1030 will be the niche device, but there is little that is known about its specs and features.

The Microsoft Lumia 1030 has been imagined to have unusual styling, and according to Phones Review, it looks a little stocky as well, taking inspiration from the Nokia X7 from years ago.

The specs list includes at least 2GHz octa-core processor, with a display that could be between 4.7 to 5.2 inches, with a full HD resolution, or higher.

It is also said to come with 3 or 4 GB or RAM and between 32 and 128GB internal storage that could be expanded to up to 1TB with the help of a MicroSD.

The cameras are a work of art, with a rear camera said to be between 41 and 50 MP with optical zoom and triple LED flash. It's front snapper is nothing short of fantastic either, with a 12-MP for selfies with LED flash. This particular rumor should be taken with little consideration, though, especially because Christian Today reported that it's going to have a less impressive 2-MP front shutter, not 12 as reported by Phones Review.

For its software, it is said to run on Windows 10, as already discussed, and will feature a Dolby Digital Plus Audio, with 4-stereo speakers and 4 microphones that will be great for recording.

Not to be left behind with other smartphones, it is also WiFi capable, with Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, GPS and a micro-USB 2.0.

Then there's the usual array of sensors, including proximity, compass, accelerometer and more, but without confirmation, these rumors should be taken with a grain of salt. We will just have to wait for more news, regarding the flagship device, otherwise, we can wait until its actual launch.

What do you think about these rumors so far, are you excited for the first few Windows 10 phones to hit the market?
