On Sunday, the HTC One A9 Aero is expected to be launched with top-of-the-line features and specifications.
A teaser of the device, posted on the HTC Weibo account, revealed what seems to be the back of the alleged smartphone, with Chinese characters that read "superior, handsome" handset.
With a few hours left before its release, what can the public really expect from the newest phone of the Taiwanese mobile producer?
Design similar to iPhone 6
NDTV Gadgets said earlier leaked images of the device show that its design profile is similar to the iPhone 6.
"The rear panel looks similar to that of iPhone 6, featuring two antenna strips on top and bottom alongside the same bold curved handset edges," added the same report.
It was, however, noted that the position of the camera would be a bit different.
Also, the Aero is not expected to look "cheap" as per Android Pit, but will have a design that is different from earlier HTC One devices.
"While it will follow the HTC aesthetics in terms of design approach and engineering, the HTC Aero design should look and feel quite different to HTC's other handsets," noted Android Pit.
Display, processor and storage
In addition, Gospel Herald said there is still no confirmation from HTC about the specifications of the device but noted that it could sport a Quad HD or 1080p display with Gorilla Glass 4 and 2.5D curved edges.
As for its processor, the new phone instalment is believed to be powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 chipset with a Mali-T880 MP4 graphics processor and 4GB of RAM.
Improved camera
In a similar report, HTC Source said the upcoming release will have a "groundbreaking" imaging technology. This is expected to exceed the performance of the HTC's UltraPixel sensor.
"The HTC Aero will also feature new camera interface and may even sport an f1.9 (matching the aperture of the Samsung Galaxy S6) lens to further improve the handset's low-light imaging capabilities," noted HTC Source.
Software
Pocket-Lint said there is still no news on the software of the HTC Aero, but noted that it could be upgraded to the upcoming Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The same report also indicated that some changes on the HTC Sense could be introduced in the upcoming release.
Price
As for the price, Mobile Computing Today said that the device could be priced around $400 to $600 once it become available in the market.
DigitalTrends mentioned that the phone will be equipped with "mid-range specs." Do you think the HTC A9 is worth the price?
