Earlier this week, "The Vampire Diaries" actress Candice Accola announced that she's pregnant. While we're very happy for her, what does this mean about her character, Caroline Forbes in the CW series?

It's kind of impossible on the show, considering how Damon (Ian Somerhalder) already previously explained in the past that vampires can't reproduce in the TVD universe unless it's a hybrid vampire (like Klaus), which means that Caroline and Stefan, presumably, cannot be parents.

However, not all plot lines are written in stone, and that could be a possibility. Accola shared with E! News the possibility of a Steroline baby, "I think with vamp speed, that would definitely help with diaper changes. I don't know if they'd compel a baby not to cry? I don't know if that's cool for vampire parents to do."

Paul Wesley, who plays Stefan Salvatore theorized, "They'd send him to private boarding school way far away so they never had to deal with him."

On a more serious note, though, Somerhalder gave his two cents about the possibility of a vampire baby, saying, "One would only hope so because I think that might be hard to explain." He also put it his opinion about his on-screen brother being a dad, saying, "Stefan would be a good dad, focusing all his energy on that kid. He'd grow up to be a sensitive, smart ripper."

While nothing has been confirmed on the Caroline front, there is another thing that Somerhalder's Damon has to deal with -- the Elena-less season. Of course, fans will expect that he will deal with it pretty badly --but just how badly? There have been reports of the actor quitting the show after the seventh season as well, mainly due to his wife, Nikki Reed, who still feels a bit threatened by her hubby's ex, Nina Dobrev and fears the day she returns on the show.

Internationa Business Times also noted that Nikki wasn't happy about Ian and Nina winning the Best Kiss Award at the Teen Choice Awards either and as fans noted, she and Ian were absent in the event.

Now that they're married, it's not entirely impossible for Nikki to put in her two cents regarding his decisions, but do you really think she's pushing him to quit the show?

As for pregnant Candice, do you think there is a possibility they will write in her pregnancy, or should they work around it for a non-pregnant vampire Caroline?

"The Vampire Diaries" will return on October 8 on the CW.
