Mexican singer Alejandro Fernandez suffered a car accident on Wednesday, Sept. 2.

The accident occurred around 4AM near the superstar's ranch in Guadalajara, Mexico, according to press release issued to Univision, which was translated by Billboard. Multiple reports revealed that Fernandez's vehicle flipped over when the driver lost control. This was due to the unusually slippery roads brought upon by the heavy rainfall in the state of Jalisco.

A photo posted on Twitter, reportedly that of the car involved in the accident, made its rounds in various social media outlets.

Billboard translated from El Debate that the "Hoy Tengo Ganas De Ti" recording artist endured minor injuries in an arm and a leg and was sent to a local hospital, San Javier, straight away.

Fernandez announced on his official Twitter page that he was dismissed from the hospital in the same day. One of the members of his security team, however, is still undergoing treatment in the hospital.

"Friends, family and media outlets who are inquiring: I'm at home and healthy, thank you to all who worried about me!" Fernandez tweeted for his fans, as translated by Billboard.

Alejandro Fernandez Confidencias Tour

In August, Fernandez announced that the second leg of his Confidencias World Tour will make stops across the U.S.

According to LMT Online, the tour will kick off on Nov. 14 and will have schedules in the country's top 13 cities, which includes Texas' Laredo Energy Arena on Dec. 6. Fernandez's Confidencias Tour earned positive reactions from critics. For the concert series, the artist showcased mariachi and musicians, along with performances of his popular hits of traditional rancheras and pop hits.

The news outlet added that the "renowned musical arrangements" serve as the tour's highlights, as well as the impressive production that "counts of more than 250 robotic light, hallucinatory and reflected images on a giant screen." These elements have been recognized internationally.

Fernandez's "Confidencias Reales," a new production launched last December, featured a historic concert filmed along with the singer's mariachi, a symbol that has embodied him, LMT Online noted. It also showcased Madrid's Orquestra Sinfonica performing in the country's Teatro Real. In just a week from its on-sale date, "Confidencias Reales" became the highest-selling production in 17 countries.

'A Que No Me Dejas' Collaboration

In July, it was reported that Spanish crooner Alejandro Sanz teamed up with Fernandez for the ballad "A Que No Me Dejas" ("I Bet You Won't Leave Me").

The track is a part of Sanz's album "Sirope" unveiled in May, Billboard wrote. Watch the song's official music video below.
