The highly-anticipated Ryan Murphy production, "Scream Queens" is a mix of "American Horror Story" terror and "Glee" comedy. As actress Jamie Lee Curtis previously described, "The show is a hybrid of wickedly funny and incredibly scary storytelling set in a sorority house on a college campus."

Curtis plays the dean in the series, and while she was the one who put the girls together in their own house of mayhem and deemed original scream queen, it was the show's younger cast which was highlighted in the recently released title sequence that is full of -- you guessed it -- screaming.

Cosmopolitan noted that while most of the cast members were featured with their best :O face as they were attacked by a masked killer, Curtis, Nasim Pedrad, Oliver Hudson, and Lucien Laviscount got their names in the credits sans screaming, but Ariana Grande and Nick Jonas were neither featured nor mentioned --- which means that they may not be part of the main cast, but instead will get recurring roles.

The magazine also ranked all fourteen screaming moments in the opening sequence and Lea Michelle topped the list with her star-worthy :O face, although another favorite scene is seeing the "Glee" actress transform from a dorky, neck-brace-wearing pledge to a glamorous Kappa queen who just might be looking to grab the throne from Roberts's Chanel.

Roberts spoke with E! News about her role, "You read it sometimes and think, 'Oh my God this is crazy!'You kind of just have to do it and accept it. It's this imagined world. There are definitely times when I'd apologize to the girls when a cut was called. But it's been fun more than anything. The way these guys write for us the insults, you can't help but laugh."

"Scream Queens" is described by Billboard as a show set on a college campus that has been rocked by a series of murders. Emma Roberts star as queen bee Chanel Oberlin, head of the Kappa sorority, while Jamie Lynn Curtis portrays an anti-sorority dean named Cathy Munsch. Diego Boneta is the campus newspaper editor looking to explore the gruesome murders on campus, as well as expose the Red Devil --- AKA the mass murderer in the university who is seen looming behind the cast members in the opening credits.

Oh, and just in case you're wondering what the fantastic song is, it's called "You Belong To Me" and is co-written by "Scream Queens" executive producer Alexis Woodall and composer Mac Quayle, with the collaboration of musician Heather Heywood, who also happens to be the one performing it.

"Scream Queens" premieres on September 22 at 8 pm before it reverts to its original time slot at 9 pm the week after.
