The newest Pokémon anime season debut data has been confirmed, and fans will have to wait for January 2014.
The debut of "Pokémon the Series: XY," featuring Ash Ketchum and Pikachu traveling around the Kalos region, has been confirmed to start Jan. 18, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. EST.
Fans who have watched the two-episode preview on Oct. 19, however, might have to wait for newer episodes to air on Feb. 1 with episode three: "A Battle of Aerial Mobility."
The Jan. 18 launch date will kick off with the re-airing of the first episode of the latest season, "Kalos, Where Dreams and Adventures Begin!" which shows Ketchum and Pikachu arriving in the new French-like region and encountering Lumiose City Gym Leader Clemont and his sister Bonnie.
Although fans have to wait until Jan. 18 for the latest season, Cartoon Network is providing fans with a digital remastered version of "Pokémon: The First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back" on Jan. 4 at 8:30 am. EST.
"Pokémon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened" will air once again on Jan. 11 following its October debut and feature the special "Pokémon: Mewtwo - Prologue to Awakening," an episode that has not aired in the U.S. featuring Mewtwo. Fans who have not seen the latest Pokémon film should be aware that the Mewtwo are different from both films and unique.
A trailer for the new anime season premiered featuring a new version of the original Pokémon theme song.
