Motorola's new version of the Moto 360 comes in three versions, making it entirely different from the previous bulky one which earned criticisms from users.
In a report, Engadget said that the smartwatch now has three designs: "a men's version in two sizes, a women's version, and a dedicated sport version, complete with onboard GPS and outdoor-readable display."
The company is reportedly dubbing this release as their "collection" which remain customizable just like earlier releases and also light and perfect for sporty people.
"This year Motorola says it has over 300 possible combinations of looks with bands, colors, bezels, and sizes all in the mix," added Engadget.
The watch's version for men and woman can already be preordered on the Motorola website with units scheduled to be shipped in a few weeks. The Moto 360 Sport, on the other hand, will be made available before the year ends.
As for the price, Engadget said the new versions of the watches could start selling at $299.99 to $429.99.
These watches are expected to come with "additional bezels, colors, materials, even a new double wrap band" and also hands-free voice control and various applications, added Chicago Tribune.
A mobile phones research manager Ramon Llamas told Chicago Tribune that he highly approves the new design of the Motorola watch.
He added that the watch is equipped with very useful features like the Moto Body which has the ability to track steps and calories of the users.
Llamas also noted that this newest smartwatch release could level what the Apple Watch offers to its users.
"We were waiting to see who's going to fill that void. And now I think we see Android Wear and its partners start to do that," the research manager added in the Chicago Tribune report.
And with the Android Wear recently being compatible with Apple devices, Llamas tagged this as a "smart move" for Android.
"It's the recognition that it is early days and the way to boost distribution and market share is to make yourself available to multiple platforms," he added.
Using this new version of the smartwatch will also allow users to do task remotely on their phones, as per Motorola blog.
"Get notifications and important info at a glance. Respond to messages with your voice," read the description on the Motorola blog.
It added that car owners can also start their vehicles with the MyFord application then lock their doors using the Kevo app.
The watch also comes with Live Dials for easier navigation of apps and tasks using shortcuts.
