Zoe Saldana has plenty of fitness advice for those new moms aiming to go back to their pre-pregnancy bodies.

The "Star Trek Beyond" actress welcomed her twin boys, Cy Aridio and Bowie Ezio, last November with Italian husband Marco Perego, PEOPLE reported. Since giving birth, Saldana shared her exercise routines on her Facebook and Instagram pages. At the end of July, she posted a photo of herself at the gym showing off her trimmed abs.

According to the movie star, it's important for new mothers such as herself to take care of themselves while being on the road to fitness.

"Be easy on yourself and embrace the place you're at in life," Saldana, 37, told PEOPLE. "And that also involves embracing where your body is at, and just waking up every day with a determination to get to where you want to be."

She continued, "I'm not going to let the extra pounds or what I used to be or what I am, consume my time and take away from the beauty of where I find myself today. I can't allow that to happen because at the end of the day, it's physicality, and thinking about it in a very cosmetic way is superficial, and it's become more spiritual for me."

In the comments section of her Facebook post, Saldana reached out to her fans and encouraged them to join her on her fitness journey.

"We are stronger when we stick together- wishing each other good, cheering each other along," she urged, as quoted by PEOPLE.

Despite the challenges of being a working mom with a hectic schedule, Saldana insisted that she is grateful for her job and that balancing it all out is the key struggle. She added that her husband's support makes her feel "not alone," according to USA Today.

Saldana's film commitments are sure to keep the actress busy. She's reprising her role as Nyota Uhura in the third Star Trek movie, as Gamora in Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" follow-up, and as Neytiri in James Cameron's three "Avatar" sequels, E! News listed. Saldana also has a role in Ben Affleck's Prohibition-era drama titled "Live by Night."

Zoe Saldana Named as Spokesperson for Preemies

Earlier in August, Saldana was named as the spokesperson of the 2015 Theatrical Fundraising Spokesperson for Brave Beginnings, a freshly renamed program of the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation (WRMPPF), PR Newswire reported.

The program aims to help the conditions of premature babies by providing life-saving neonatal equipment and critical care pulmonary services, the news outlet added. Brave Beginnings has given essential ventilator equipment to neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) across the U.S. since 2006.
