The next Google Nexus is about to drop and according to Android Origin, the basic concept of the Nexus 5 improves on every aspect -- from the processor to the camera, to its many other features.
For the specs, this year's Nexus is expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC -- one of the best ones from the peak of the production line before the release of the Snapdragon 10, which is not exactly among their best ones.
A leak from China's Weibo microblogging site noted that the phone will feature a 13MP rear camera with a 5MP front snapper. For speakers, it is said to have two front-facing ones, a feature already seen on the Nexus 6.
Pocket-Lint also reported that the next LG Nexus will have a metal frame although it is highly doubtful that an all-metal build will come along with it.
The Nexus 5 2015 is also expected to have a 5.2-inch display and a 3GB LPDDR3 RAM, with a USB type C, which is interesting, considering that there are those claiming this version to be slower.
Then there's also the latest Android release. Both versions -- Huawei Nexus 6 and LG Nexus 5 are expected to run on the Android Marshmallow, and will be released along with the Android M Update.
Speaking of the Android M, Neuro Gadget announced that the Marshmallow will come with Android Pay, a system similar to that of Apple Inc.'s and is expected to bring with it Memory Tracking, Auto Backup, App Permissions, and Quick Finger Print Access, which is very similar to the iOS systems. This feature is said to protect user data by requiring apps to ask permission to run on the device.
The Android M is still in its test version, but Google has made it available for software development as of the moment and is said to already be installed in both Nexus models.
As for the release, it is said to be in stores by next month. If you noticed, this is about a month earlier than the usual Nexus device release, which is usually set for October. However, it seems that Google wanted it this way.
Again, there are still no updates on the Nexus 5 (2015) but with high-end hardware and the latest software installed, it is expected to cost more than the existing flagships already in the market. Fans of the product will just have to wait for further updates and announcements.
Are you looking forward to the new Nexus 5 model?
