WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton came out the ring to open up the show, talking about how he has cemented his legacy after his title unification victory at TLC and complained how The Authority did not celebrate his historic win, instead putting him in a match against Daniel Bryan on Monday Night Raw. John Cena and Bryan came out to confront Orton, with Bryan telling the champion Cena is better than Orton and was scared to give him a rematch. Bryan went on to say he would only get a fair shot at the title if Cena won the championship. The Shield came out through the stands to protect Orton, which caused CM Punk to come out to the ring to even up the odds, forcing Smackdown general manager to order a six-man tag match between The Shield against Punk, Cena, and Bryan.

Intercontinental Champion Big E Langston defeated Jack Swagger of The Real Americans with Mark Henry watching the champion's back against Swagger's tag team partner, Antonio Cesaro, and his manager, Zeb Colter.

Brie Bella beat Tamina, with WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee doing commentary throughout the match. After the bout Bella confronted AJ and shoved her to the floor.

Sin Cara defeated Drew McIntyre of 3MB.

Tensai got the win over his former Tons of Funk tag team partner Brodus Clay after Xavier Woods and The Funkadactyls came out to the ring and distracted Clay, giving Tensai the opening to defeat Clay. After the match, Clay attacked Tensai with Woods making the save.

Erick Rowan and Luke Harper of the Wyatt Family defeated WWE Tag Team champions Cody Rhodes and Goldust in a non-title match. The Wyatts tripled-teamed the champions after the match, which caused Daniel Bryan to come out to even the odds and challenging the Wyatts to a six-man tag match. Bryan, Rhodes, and Goldust went on to defeat The Wyatts in the impromptu bout.

Damien Sandow, who came out to trash the Christmas holiday, lost to The Miz after the The Miz rolled up Sandow for the victory.

Fandango defeated Kofi Kingston in singles competition.

Daniel Bryan was attacked backstage by The Wyatts, changing the main event to a 2-on-1 Handicap match between CM Punk and John Cena versus The Shield.

In the main event, John Cena and CM Punk defeated The Shield via disqualification when all three members of The Shield - United States Champion Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns - beat down Punk in the middle of the ring and would not heed the referee's instructions. Reigns speared Cena and Punk got nailed with the Triple-Powerbomb. Big E Langston ran out to make the save, cleaning house to end the show.
