Marvel fans are now in for a treat as a recent report revealed how the Avengers would be divided in the upcoming film "Captain America: Civil War" due in theaters next year.

The highly anticipated faceoff between Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man and Chris Evans' Captain America is finally getting an update. Some exclusive promo art revealed who would be siding with the two most influential Avengers.

Despite Marvel's best attempt at keeping spoilers at bay, some promo art images revealed by Comic Book Movie shows Black Widow, War Machine, Vision and Black Panther teaming up with Tony Stark.

Meanwhile, Captain America is joined by Ant-Man, Falcon, Bucky Barnes and Hawkeye, as well as Peggy Carter's sister Sharon Carter.

While the first two images reveal each member of the two factions in ominous poses, a third promo art shows the two teams in what seems like the beginning of a dynamic faceoff.

It may not be surprising for some to see characters like Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye on the side of the Captain, especially after the actor inadvertently confirmed his character's allegiance to Comic Book Movie.

"I don't know; they wrote me in that side, it made sense to me," he answered after being asked if Hawkeye would side with the Soldier.

Meanwhile, the outlet noted how the appearance of former SHIELD Agent and Peggy's descendant Sharon Carter on Captain's side may be a little bit unexpected.

According to iO9, there have been speculations about Agent Carter appearing in the movie, though no one expected her to be assigned to such a significant role.

iO9 also recently reported on how the Black Widow, who previously sided with the Captain in establishing the New Avengers in "Age of Ultron" together with War Machine and Vision, would be facing their former alliance.

According to Game Spot, this divide in what everybody thought to be an unbreakable team was brought about by an argument between Iron Man and Captain America regarding the government's Superhero Registration Act, a law that requires registration of superhero activity.

The outlet explained that Iron Man favors the registration while the Captain obviously does not.

Interestingly, some major Avengers members have been excluded from the factions like Tom Holland's Spider-Man, who would make his first appearance in the "Civil War," as well as Brune Banner a.k.a. The Hulk, who is rumored to be a part of the project.
