Fifth Harmony's official music video for their new track "I'm in Love With a Monster" was unveiled on Thursday, Aug. 20.

The song will be featured in the upcoming animated film "Hotel Transylvania 2," which is scheduled for a Sept. 25 release date in theaters. For the music video, the 5H girls -- Ally Brooke Hernandez, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane Hansen, Camila Cabello, and Lauren Jauregui -- are shown exploring a haunted mansion laden with ghoulish creatures. Scenes from the movie were also interspersed in the music video.

Harmony Samuels wrote the song along with Carmen Reece, Sarah Mancuso, Edgar Etienne, and Ericka Coulter, PR Newswire reported.

"There are few groups out there that can match the incredibly fun feel and animated vision that Genndy Tartakovsky is bringing to 'Hotel Transylvania 2,' and Fifth Harmony knocked it out of the park. The song is exactly what we were hoping for," said Lia Vollack, president of Worldwide Music for Sony Pictures, as quoted by PR Newswire.

'Hotel Transylvania 2' Scoop

"Hotel Transylvania 2" will pick up a few years after the events of the original film. Dracula (Adam Sandler) finally allowed Hotel Transylvania to be open to human guests, Sony Pictures Animation wrote. However, he is worried that his half-human, half-vampire grandson from Mavis (Selena Gomez) and Johnny (Andy Samberg) named Dennis doesn't have vampire qualities.

While Mavis heads out to visit her human in-laws with Johnny, Dracula takes it upon himself to put Dennis in a "monster-in-training" boot camp with the help of his friends, Frank (Kevin James), Murray (Keegan-Michael Key), Wayne (Steve Buscemi), and Griffin (David Spade). Things start to get more complicated when Dracula's ancient and grouchy father, Vlad (Mel Brooks), visits the hotel and disapproves of everything his son is doing, the news outlet noted.

Tartakovsky directed the flick from a script written by Robert Smigel, Sony Pictures Animation added. Check out the movie's official trailer here.

In July, it was announced that a TV series for "Hotel Transylvania" is being developed by Sony Pictures Animation and Corus Entertainment's Nelvana, The Wrap reported.

The TV adaptation will center on Mavis' teenage years and her unusual friends. Toronto's Nelvana Studio is developing and producing the episodic animated series, which is slated to air in early 2017, the news outlet added.

"Audiences have embraced the world and characters of 'Hotel Transylvania,' so we are thrilled to be partnering with Nelvana to take them on new adventures, expanding on the teenage years of Mavis and her friends at the world-famous monster five star resort!" said Kristine Belson, president of Sony Pictures Animation, as quoted by The Wrap.
