A leaked document from McDonald's introduced the launch of Android Pay across their stores in the United States, August 26. The document was supposedly to update their staff about the Android Pay service which they will accept on the said date.

According to Telegraph, the Android Police took a photo of the notice posted in a store they visited instructing its employees about the service. The notice also stated that the customers can use Android Pay starting August 26 in their restaurant.

In the Daily Mail report, as soon as the service launches, customers can use their Smartphones like the Apple Pay. McDonald's patrons can use their phones and place it near the contact-less terminal for purchasing.

In addition, Android Pay will grant users who owns an android Smartphone to make payments in more than 700,000 stores in the U.S. Only, if they linked their credit or debit card to the service.

The Pocket-lint website explained the features of Android Pay and how it should work. According to them, Android Pay is similar to Google Wallet but it is more secure and efficient. It can store your credit and debit cards, loyalty cards and the like. They said that the service should work even without an application installed on your phone. Also, it will apply points and offers to your Android Pay once you checkout.

Moreover, Android claims that the service is secure and card holder's information is safe. On their website, one of its features say that Android Pay does not send any actual credit and debit card details. Instead, Android will be using a virtual account that will represent their account information to the merchants. Also, in the website, Android Pay will work with the following financial institutions: American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, Bank of America, Navy Federal Credit Union, PNC, Regions, USAA, and US Bank.

Furthermore, the leaked information also stated that Samsung Pay, Samsung's own pay service, had already launched August 21. But, according to the Daily Mail, Samsung confirmed that the service will be launched on September 28.

However, there are speculations that Android Pay will not launch August 26 since their new Android OS Marshmallow is not yet released. According to Daily Mail, Google has not yet responded on the leaked information about the launch of Android Pay.

Meanwhile, the Android Pay service will only work on the phone that has NFC (near-field communication) chip. With Samsung Pay, customer's phone should have MST (magnetic secure transmission) before they could use it.
