On Tuesday, Justin Bieber broke the hearts of millions of his Beliebers when he announced that at 19 years old, he is already planning his retirement.
The teen singer made the announcement during a sit down radio interview with Big Boy on Los Angeles' Power 106 station. "New album ... uh ... I'm actually retiring, man," Bieber said. "I'm retiring, yeah."
"I'm glad you announced that," the host responded. "I'm not gonna even play nothing else but that."
"I'm retiring, yeah," with a straight face and somber tone. "I'm taking a ... I'm just gonna take some time. I think I'm probably gonna quit music."
However, despite the "Boyfriend" singer's public declaration, Gossip Cop reports that it was all a big joke.
Likewise, an inside source told E! News "Of course it's not true."
Meanwhile, Bieber addressed a number of other topics during the morning interview, which Power 106 tweeted, "'I'm 19 I'm gonna make mistakes it's inevitable'-@justinbieber #JustinBigBoy106."
"People think I'm arrogant, I'm not, I've always been a caring and giving person," Bieber also said, in addition to, "I'm here solely for my fans and for the music."
The teen also promoted his new album "Journals," which is comprised of 10 previously released songs that he released during his "Music Mondays" project. The collection also features five unreleased songs, videos and the "Believe" theatrical release trailer.
"Journals" is available for sale on iTunes for $13.99 from Dec. 16 through Jan. 2, 2014. Bieber fans can also catch his "Believe" concert documentary, which hits theaters Christmas Day.
