A rugged variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will reportedly be launched in November and will sport a larger battery and other great features.

For Samsung fans and users curious about this device, we listed some of the expected features below of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Active:

* A 4100mAH battery

According to Gadgets NDTV, the earlier rumour about the huge battery was not fit for the recently released Samsung Galaxy Note 5 but to its Active variant.

Phone Arena said that the Galaxy Note 5 Active could be released starting November 8 on AT&T and will sport the stronger battery but will have other specification found in as the Note 5.

Samsung reportedly did the same thing when it released that Galaxy S6 Active with a larger battery, which resulted "in a stellar achievement on our battery life test of the device."

* IP68 Certification

A tipster told Phone Arena that "the durable phablet will have IP68 waterproofing certification, and arrive in week 46, which falls in the week of Monday, November 8th, just in time for your holiday shopping schedule."

In addition, Gadgets NDTV explained that the IP68 rating of the Note 5 Active will make it water resistant for up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.

* Perfect for those who love a "rugged" design

Samsung could have also introduced this new model for those not impressed with the glass and metal look of the Note 5 but looking for a rugged with a larger battery, according iDigitalTimes.

* More durable

Since it will not be made of metal and glass, the upcoming device is believed to be more durable and will have a longer life because of its makeup.

* Will have all other features of the Note 5

According to Phone Arena, the Note 5 Active will have all other features of its recently released brother.

Made available in retail stores last Aug. 21, the Note 5 had a starting price of $739.99 for the 32GB variant.

In a review, Sydney Morning Herald explained that the Note 5 felt "solid and very very light."

"Nothing felt radically new, but nothing stuck out as weird or plasticy either," the review said.

For its performance, Sydney Morning Herald said the applications and tasks in the phone were also fast improving the users' Android experience.

"They say the cameras - a 16MP f1.9 rear; 5MP f.19 front - open in 0.7 seconds, which seems about right. It certainly opened the camera faster than my iPhone 6 did," the review added.

Other features included in the Note 5 are the SideSync productivity tool and refined S Pen capabilities.
