It's a big NO for Tulsa Shock's Glory Johnson after an Arizona judge denied her request for a $20,000 per month spousal support from partner Brittney Griner after the Phoenix Mercury center filed for annulment of their 28-day marriage.

Maricopa County, Arizona, Superior Court commissioner Jacki Ireland denied the request for support on Thursday, ESPN reported.

In reaction to the court decision, Johnson told People"I feel relieved and thankful now that this stressful situation is coming to an end. I was honest throughout this entire painful experience, and I have no regrets. Now, I feel like I am finally free to focus on the things in my life that really matter."

She added that she is now given the opportunity to be a mom with the support of her family.

"I look forward to continuing my exciting career playing the game that I love. I'm thankful for those who believed in me and supported me during this trying time. Continue to have faith because right is right and wrong is wrong," the Tulsa Shock forward added.

Why Johnson asked for financial support

During the hearing, Johnson, who made the court appearance via phone, claimed that she's already in debt since she is pregnant with twins via an IVF procedure, noted ABC 15.

She asked for $7,000 a month for food, another $6,000 for hired help and the remaining amount for their sustenance.

"When I go to the grocery store I literally spend $300 every week, sometimes it's less because I don't have it," Johnson testified.

But Griner, who appeared personally in court, said she could not afford what Johnson was asking for.

In the end, the court ruled in favor of Griner.

Griner's lawyer, David Michael Cantor, said that their camp is "very pleased" with the result.

In a statement to the media, he added, "after evaluating the credibility of the testimony, that a 28-day marriage does not entitle Glory Johnson to Brittney Griner's money for purposes of alimony, Mercedes car payments or attorney's fees."

The WNBA players were married in May, and about a month after, Johnson announced her pregnancy. Things did not turn out well for the two and Griner filed for annulment a day after Johnson's baby announcement.

ESPN said the Phoenix Mercury star claimed that she was just "pressured into marriage under duress by Johnson's threatening statements."

As for the other case, earlier this month, the court did not find any legal basis for Griner's request for annulment but "the case shall proceed on the Petition for Dissolution of Marriage with Minor Children," People noted in a another report.

The court has reportedly advised the two "to mediate a settlement on community property before the dissolution of marriage is granted."

The next hearing for the divorce is set on Sept. 23.
