After rough break ups, it makes sense for exes to push each other out of their lives.

Even though Perrie Edwards vowed to do just that to former One Direction Member Zayn Malik, there are still times when she gets overcome with emotion - after all, they've been broken up for only a few weeks.

Unfortunately for Perrie, though, her moment of weakness came while she was performing with her all-girl group, Little Mix on stage.

According to Sydney Morning Herald, the 22-year-old started crying while she was singing their latest single, "The End".

Her fellow band members Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jade Thirlwall, seeing her break down, quickly gathered around her.

Members of the audience yelled, "we love you, Perrie!"

Jesy explained to the crowd, "It's been a long day and we've had no sleep. We're just very emotional today."

In an attempt to lighten up the moment, Leigh-Anne referenced the song title in a joke, "But, yeah. That was the end."

The group was in the US to promote "Black Magic", the debut single off their third album. Perrie's breakdown happened during the global live-streaming concert hosted by the band to celebrate their fourth year as a group.

The Daily Mail reported that Perrie previously insisted that she was doing okay and was having "an absolute blast" in the United States after the split with Zayn.

She had been in a serious relationship with Malik for nearly four years.

Fortunately for Perrie, she had her Little Mix girls to support her in this difficult time, and surprisingly, she also had One Direction's Harry Styles in her corner.

The Daily Star reported that unlike most of the 1D boys, who kept mum about the split, Harry reached out to the Little Mix singer to make sure she's doing okay after the breakup.

A source said, "It's something Harry really understands from having his heart broken by his first girlfriend when he was 14. His heart immediately went out to Perrie and he called her up straight away. He's very spontaneous that way. It meant a lot to her."

Finally, there is also Eleanor Calder, who had to also had to deal with her breakup with 1D's Louis Tomlinson earlier this year.

A source for Hollywood Life revealed that Eleanor advised Perrie to cut Zayn out of her life, as he "doesn't deserve her time or energy."
