Grand Theft Auto Online now has a new content update that adds a new mode to the game as well as several other pieces of content that will keep players involved within the massive online world of the game.
Capture the flag mode is now available for users to play. This staple of multiplayer shooters will allow users to find and capture the enemy flag and attempt to bring it back to their own base before the enemy team finds and kills the player. However, developer Rockstar Games has added their own twist to standard capture the flag mechanics. Raid mode plays out much like a regular capture the flag mode. Hold mode, on the other hand, is a different animal altogether. In this mode, the two teams must find and hoard as many packages as they can, and whichever team has the most at the end of the game wins. Contend mode has one single shared flag at the middle of a stage that teams must fight over. Finally, the appropriately titled GTA mode has players seek out a special vehicle that they must steal and then return to their base.
These modes should appeal to anyone who is tired of the deathmatch and other game modes found in Grand Theft Auto Online and are looking for new types of missions and games to play with their crew. Even if capture the flag games aren't your cup of tea, Rockstar has added 20 new missions available in the Freemode of the game.
This new free update for DLC for Grand Theft Auto Online is just the latest batch of content that Rockstar is planning to deliver. Rockstar has stated that they plan on continuing to update Grand Theft Auto Online with free content well into 2014. This includes the content creator tool, which will allow users to create their own deathmatches, capture the flag games, and race track maps and make them available for all online users to download. Heists such as those found in the single player campaign for the game will also be added to Grand Theft Auto Online at some point.
Rockstar has also claimed that they are developing DLC for the single player campaign that would further the story of Michael, Trevor and Franklin. Check back with Latino Post for more developments on GTA Online.
