Microsoft's "12 Days of Deals" continued on Dec. 18, and the Nokia Lumia 1520 has been chosen to receive a special discount but with a twist.

The online Microsoft Store has slashed the price of the Lumia 1520 Windows Phone 8 smartphone by $100. The online website previously had the Lumia 1520 priced at $549 but the special offer knocks the cost down to $449.

Is the price still a bit too high?

Potential customers can travel to the nearest verified Microsoft Store and purchase the Lumia 1520 for $99. The $99 price, however, is only for customers who sign a two-year contract with mobile carrier AT&T.

The online Microsoft Store is also offering consumers a $50 app card.

The $100 discount courtesy of the Microsoft Store is only available during Dec 18.

The Lumia 1520 features a screen size of 6 inches with 1,920x1,080 resolution. The camera specifications for the device include a 20-megapixel rear-facing camera and a front-facing camera with 1.2 megapixels. The Lumia 1520 will only be available in a 32GB internal storage model, even though the Microsoft Store has a 16GB variant. The device has 2GB of RAM and offers a microSD card slot for an additional 64GB of storage. The battery capacity for the Lumia 1520 stands at 3,400mAh, which offers up to 25.1 hours for talk time in a 3G network, and approximately 780 hours on standby.
