The mighty Thor may not be bringing his hammer to the "Ghostbusters" set, but at least Chris Hemsworth will not be sitting pretty as the secretary, either.
According to Vanity Fair, the "Avengers" actor will be doing more than just secretarial duties to Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon's team.
In a recent snap on the Boston set of the upcoming film, Hemsworth is was spotted prepared to fight off some ghosts and ghouls as he rode on the back of a motorbike - it's not the Exto-1 station wagon, but he definitely looked good in his suit.
People Magazine reported that the 32-year-old actor is playing the receptionist for the all-female team of ghostbusters, and is rocking his tan-and-orange uniform with black-rimmed glasses.
When news of Hemsworth's involvement in the film broke, Variety reported that he initially turned down the role as it was "too small".
Sony then had to rework the script and send it back to him so that he could be "beefed up", which in this instance meant a little field action.
There is little that we know about the upcoming film. However, here are some confirmed details that you may not want to miss out on:
1. Slash Film reported that acting alongside the all-female team of Ghostbusters are Andy Garcia, Michael K. Williams, and Matt Walsh. "Saturday Night Live" writer Neil Casey will play the film's villain.
2. A couple of cameos from the original cast members are also expected. The Guardian reported that Bill Murray, a member of the original cast as parapsychologist Dr. Peter Venkman, will be returning to play a different role. The 64-year-old will play a professional supernatural debunker who will serve as the opposition to the new team of ghostbusters.
3. Dan Aykroyd, who starred as Ray Stants in the original film is also due to return. However, Ernie Hudson, who played Winston Zeddemore will not be making a cameo as he initially dismissed the idea of an all-femal cast. Harold Ramis, who played the final Ghostbuster, Egon Spengler, died in February 2014.
4. The film is being shot in Boston, mostly in Chinatown, but it seems that students from Boston University may see some of the action. Boston.com reported that production seems to have moved to Boston University Castle.
5. There is still no news as to whether or not a spinoff film with Channing Tatum is happening,
The "Ghostbusters" reboot will be released in theaters on July 15, 2016. What can to make out of Chris's uniformed character?
