"The Daily Show" host Jon Stewart will be gracing WWE's "SummerSlam" this coming weekend, a job which he has long dreamed of doing.
A self-confessed wrestling fan, Stewart announced on Monday that he will be the host of the WWE event to be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, according to Yahoo Sports.
The TV personality is expected to throw "a variety of semi-funny sketches, awkward interviews with the wrestlers and the continuation of his ongoing feud with WWE champion Seth Rollins."
He has reportedly appeared for "Monday Night Raw" last March with Rollins also guesting at his show prior to Stewart's departure earlier this month.
Bleacher Report said that the two earlier had a social media feud, which lead to the wrestler interrupting Stewart on a Feb. 26 segment of "The Daily Show."
Since Rollins will be battling it out inside the ring against John Cena during SummerSlam, things may be hard for him especially since Stewart will be present during the event.
This year's "SummerSlam," which is the second biggest event behind "WrestleMania," will happen on Aug. 23.
Some of the matches slated for the event are the following: (according to Wrestlezone)
"Winner Take All" WWE World and United States Championship Match:
- Seth Rollins vs. John Cena
WWE Intercontinental Championship Match:
- Ryback (c) vs. The Miz vs. The Big Show
WWE Tag Team Championship Match:
- The Prime Time Players (c's) vs. Los Matadores vs. The New Day vs. Lucha Dragons
-Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker
-Sheamus vs. Randy Orton
-Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose vs. The Wyatt Family
-Kevin Owens vs. Cesaro
9-Diva Elimination Tag Team Match:
-Team PCB vs. Team Bella vs. Team B.A.D
-Dolph Ziggler vs. Rusev
-Steven Amell and Neville vs. King Barrett and Stardust
Bleacher Report also predicted the Lesnar-Undertaker match will end in "a no-contest or disqualification, so neither man will look weak."
This will also reportedly give way to other potential matches like Lesnar vs. Kane at Survivor Series or Royal Rumble, and Sting vs. Undertaker.
The Cena and Rollins match could have an ideal outcome of "a double count-out, a disqualification or some kind of tainted finish that allows both men to keep their titles."
For the match, both the U.S. and world heavyweight titles will be on line so it is crucial for the two fighters.
Tickets for the fight could be purchased through the WWE Summerslam website.
