Apple's iOS 9 has one feature said to be capable of reading minds, or at least anticipate a user's needs and habits.

Predictive Siri learns a user's routine and favorite apps to use over time, TNW reported. The feature's suggestions are on point, and even makes it based on the types of apps a person uses at different times of the day. Basically, Predictive Siri is wired to know what its user wants to do without any commands.

Another ability of the Predictive Siri is its location-based suggestion, TNW added. This feature suggests apps that is widely used in a specific location or based on what you regularly use in a place.

"For example, if you're at work and use Twitter there a lot, it'll pop up in your multitasking screen. If you're at Disney World, it'll suggest... the Disney World app," the news outlet explained.

TNW wrote that Predictive Siri is "not annoying intrusive" and that it "managed to make the right app appear at the right time." It makes looking for apps to use much faster using a mixture of location, time, and external factors.

Note that Predictive Siri needs one or more weeks to showcase its highest function, given that the feature will take time to learn a user's habits.

Apple iOS 9's Other Features

Apple's iOS 9 comes with a stronger security feature, allowing users to use 6-digit code passwords in contrast to the 4-digit code of its predecessors, The Next Digit noted. The new OS also comes with a fix for the frequent crashing of iOS 8's string of text.

The iOS 8 has similarities with its successor, but the latter comes with tweaks designed for an improved performance, the news outlet added.

The new OS update is equipped with the Slide Over and Split View options to provide multitasking to users. The Slide Over is already available on the iPad Air 2, the original iPad Air, iPad Mini 2, and iPad Mini 3, Ars Technica listed. The feature lets users launch a second app without leaving the one they're currently using.

The Split View, on the other hand, is available exclusively on the iPad Air 2. The feature lets customers use two apps side-by-side and simultaneously, Ars Technica wrote.

Other features included in iOS 9 are Wi-Fi calling option, a new CarPlay interface, keyboard tweaks, a brand-new set of wallpapers, and the Handoff and Suggested Apps. There's also the Shuffle All option in the Music app, a new Calendar splash screen, text replacement, updated Activity apps design, and a small design change in Siri Suggestions.

Apple's new operating system is expected to launch in the fall, TNW noted.
