Well, that didn't take long. Twitter released an update for iOS devices and significant improvements have been revealed.

The latest Twitter update, known as Version 6.0.1, allows the user to control the text size of the mobile app along with bug and crash fixes.

The update comes almost a week after Version 6.0 launched, which revealed a new design that promised to bring a "refreshed look and feel," according to Twitter.

When it comes to receiving notification for one's network, the app user can now choose to view favorites, retweets, and replies from only the people they are following. The updated app also features the ability to save web articles with Safari Reading List.

The app has so far brought mixed reviews.

"No log out option again? Absolutely unacceptable," wrote Yamar605 on iTunes. "This app gets worse with every update. Listen to the users not shareholders!"

Rhoni89 shared, "New update on this app every week...super annoying, constant bugs and error messages, and the new follow/retweet buttons every tweet are just obnoxious. Oh and I can't forget the ads - getting pretty ridiculous.

"Get rid of RT/fav buttons under each tweet," wrote MaxxB26. "It's ugly, unnecessary, and takes up too much screen real estate. Plus now it's too easy to accidentally RT/fav something. What were you thinking adding this feature? You should fire whoever made that call.

The three Twitters users rated the app one star out of five.

The Twitter app requires 18.9MB of memory and can be installed in iOS 6 and iOS 7 devices.

According to Apple's iTunes Store, the app is compatible in Arabic, Bokmål, Norwegian, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Hebrew, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Traditional Chinese, and Turkish languages.
