It may be a good time to be a developer for Apple. The Cupertino-based company launched a new beta version of its mobile operating system.

Apple released iOS 7.1 beta 2 to developers and some notable changes have been highlighted.

According to reports, the "Settings" menu presents the settings for the Touch ID and Passcode features instead of being in the "General" menu.

The animation speed has increased in the latest beta update and allows for much faster iTunes matching.

The Safari Internet browser has the ability to minimize top and bottom headers while the page is loading.

The Calendar app provides an easier way to list events.

The first beta version of iOS 7.1 launched in November. The latest iOS 7.1 beta does not present much visual changes, but a new wallpaper has been seen on iOS 7.1 beta 2 for the iPad.

The iOS 7.1 beta 2 will require developers to sacrifice 120MB of memory before installing to their respective Apple device.

For overall iOS users, Apple last released iOS 7.0.4 in November, which featured a FaceTime update and general "bug fixes and improvements."

According to data provided by Chitika Insights, 74.1 percent of iPhone devices featured the iOS 7 platform based on data collected between Oct. 25 and Nov. 18.

Apple first launched iOS 7 worldwide on Sept. 18, two days before the release of the iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s.
