Gina Rodriguez has no qualms when it comes to standing up against haters on social media.

The "Jane the Virgin" star recently called out people who criticized her appearance, proving that she does not tolerate bullying even from those coming from her fellow Latinos.

On August 5, Rodriguez shared a photo of her recent People en Español cover on Instagram, thanking the publication for supporting her and "uplifting the many hard working and successful Latinos in this country."

Though plenty from her 330,000 followers have complimented the actress' magazine cover, there was also an outpouring of negative remarks about her looks and the way she spoke in Spanish. Some comments made fun of Rodriguez's curled toes, her red dress, and her botched Spanish translation, Fox News Latino took note.

The 31-year-old TV star told Fox News Latino that she can handle the hatred thrown her way, but it doesn't mean that she's not hurt by all of it. And she would not stay mum and ignore the cyberbullies.

"It's not a tool that anyone can use to cause pain," said Rodriguez, as quoted by the news outlet. "It drives me crazy that people would decide to be hateful on social media. I am held accountable all the time for what I say, why shouldn't everyone else?"

Rodriguez, who has Puerto Rican parents, also revealed how baffled she was that a lot of the negativity came from other Latinos, who claim that she wasn't Latina enough.

"There was an interesting conversation that . . . was deeper rooted than just what I look like," she further told Fox News Latino. "It was an interracial Latino racism that was eye opening."

The Golden Globe Award winner also shared another snapshot from her People en Español shoot in response to her haters. Accompanying the post was a lengthy caption that reads: "You know what saddens my heart, is when you try and celebrate an accomplishment with those that have helped you achieve it and no matter what, someone, anyone, has something negative to say."

In her Instagram post, Rodriguez said that people enjoy projecting insecurities and hatred on others and bringing them down instead of raising them up. According to the actress, this is not the kind of society that she wants to be a part of.

She further wrote: "Before you write a comment today on anyone's picture or anyone's page ask yourself would you want others to say that about yourself? What am I getting out of being mean to another person I have never met?" The actress concluded the post with the hashtag #NoToKeyboardCourage.
