Just like any other upcoming products from major tech companies, much has been said about Apple's alleged iPhone 7. The company hasn't issued a statement yet about the rumored smartphone, but several news sites are claiming that the handset will be released as early as next month.

Release Date & Price

Daily Mail reported from sources that Apple's new iPhone will be launched on Sept. 7 alongside a new iPad. The tech giant released the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus on Sept. 9 last year, so it's plausible that Apple will follow that timeline, Geek Snack noted.

Expert Reviews claimed the next iPhone would sell at $820 and could reach up to $1060.

Design & Display

According to Daily Mail, the next iPhone will bear close resemblance to the current iPhone 6. Engadget Japan showed a schematic that suggests the smartphone will come in at 7.1mm thick, which is slightly thicker than the iPhone 6's 6.9mm.

Daily Mail also published a set of images of the alleged iPhone 7 ready to be shipped. The photos, which came from French site nowhereelse, display a design similar to the iPhone 6.

Other Specs

Despite its rumored similarity with the iPhone 6, the new smartphone from Apple is said to be equipped with major modifications of its internal structure, as well as a new Force Touch screen, Daily Mail noted. This way, Apple makes sure that the handset's performance is outstanding despite its unchanged appearance.

Force Touch technology is already being utilized on the latest MacBook and in the Apple Watch, the news outlet added. Aside from recognizing touches and taps, the feature also senses force, which delivers new possibilities to using the screen.

"It uses tiny electrodes around the Retina display on the Watch to distinguish between a light tap and a deep press, and triggers instant access to a range of controls," Daily Mail wrote.

The new iPhone is also said to have an updated range of colors, and is expected to have aluminum and rose gold colors, the news outlet added. Other expected specs are an A9 processor, 8GB RAM, and a 12MP camera, an improvement over Apple's 8MP.

Geek Snack added that iPhone 7 will come in bearing iOS 9 and the USB Type C. 9to5Mac reported that the upcoming iPhone will have Qualcomm's LTE chip that will have the potential to bring up to two times faster LTE download speeds.

It should be noted that these are all unconfirmed at the moment and Apple is yet to issue an official announcement.
