In a recent revelation, rapper Iggy Azalea claimed that she hated fiancé Los Angeles Lakers' Nick Young when she first met him.
Azalea said in a Daily Telegraph report that when she met the basketball player a few years back, she did not really like him.
"[We'd met] a few years prior to that, and I didn't know and I hated him. I thought he was an arsehole," she said.
US Magazine reported that they met in 2008 during a pool party which the rapper said were full of male guests who she thought were all jerks.
"I came with all my friends, and I got in a taxi and left early because I felt like these guys are just arsehole basketball [players]," she told US Magazine.
Daily Telegraph said that the meeting happened months before they actually went on a date when Young tweeted that he had a crush on the rapper.
"One of my guy friends actually brought it to my attention. He's friends with Nick also, and he was like, 'Oh, did you see my boy Nick has a crush on you?' I was like: 'Oh, OK, he's kind of cute,'" she explained.
"And he was really pushing the issue. He was like, 'You've got to go on a date with him! He's a great guy!' I thought he was pretty handsome, so I went on a date with him," she added.
When they finally went out on a date, US Magazine said that they were an instant hit.
Azalea only realized then that Young was one of the "arseholes" at the pool party.
"When I figured it out, I think I was already in love with him. So it worked out!" she said, adding that she already forgave young for it.
In June 1, Huffington Post said Young finally popped the question and Azalea instantly said "Yes."
The basketball star reportedly gave an engagement ring worth $500,000.
"Nick was very involved in designing the ring. We wanted it to be both a ring of Iggy's dreams and a ring that fits her personal style," said Jason of Beverly Hills CEO Jason Arasheben.
Daily Telegraph said the wedding of the couple will happen next year during the NBA off season, but they have yet to reveal things about their wedding plans.
"It will just be between Nick and I, we don't plan on sharing our wedding details," Azalea said.
Fans of the couple are already excited for the union of Iggy and Swaggy P.
