For someone who's trying to run as President of the United States, billionaire Donald Trump has pretty much offended people left and right to earn his place at the White House.
The National Journal reported that after merely two days since he ignited a firestorm with Fox News journalist Megyn Kelly, Trump went on TV on Sunday via phone to attack his opponents in the race, as well as the media.
When Jeb Bush suggested that Trump apologize for his comments about Kelly, he turned the table against his competitor.
He said that Bush was criticized for saying he's not sure if the country needs "half a billion dollars for women's health issues."
Trump said on CBS's Face of the Nation, " I will be phenomenal to the women. I want to help women. What Jeb Bush said last week I thought was totally out of order. Then he came back a day later and he said, 'Oh, I misspoke' - well, that's an awfully bad thing to misspeak about. I just don't think you misspeak that way. So I thought what he did was terrible."
He doesn't plan on apologizing for his words against Kelly, either, as he's been adamant that her line of questioning on Friday was unfair.
He also dismissed criticisms about him from the rest of the GOP field, saying that they were attacking him for wanting to be politically correct, adding that "they want to get points."
Despite insisting that he will be "phenomenal" to women, Trump has a long history of insulting them. According to Fortune, his "misogynistic shots" at Kelly were just the tip of the iceberg.
In a deposition over a failed Florida real estate project, he called the opposing counsel "disgusting" when she wanted to take a break to pump milk for her 3-month-old daughter.
In his book "How To Get Rich", he wrote that "All of the women on 'The Apprentice' flirted with me - consciously or unconsciously. That's to be expected."
Fortune also saidd that back in 1991, he said in an Esquire interview, "You know, it doesn't really matter what [the media] write as long as you've got a young and beautiful piece of [expletive]."
Trump seems to be doing some sort of Jedi mind trick, however, as the more he offended (he also went on a rage against Latino immigrants) the more people were talking about his unorthodox campaingn, something that other candidates are starting to resent.
For instance, Mike Huckabee said, "I would love to have an opportunity to stand on that stage and go into the details of why I defend things like Social Security and Medicare, why I believe in the fair tax."
"But it's sometimes hard, because all people want to ask me is what do I think about Donald Trump."
