Apple recently seeded the iOS 9 beta 5 for developer testing. This comes after the tech giant rolled out the fourth beta two weeks ago, and two months after the new OS was unveiled to the public at this year's Worldwide Developers Conference.

The iOS 9 beta 5 also comes with the OS' public beta 3, which is identical to the former, MacRumors took note. The latest update, which bears build number 13A4325c, can be downloaded through Apple's Developer Center.

Listed below are the new and upgraded features incorporated in iOS 9's fifth beta.

New Set of Wallpapers

The latest iOS 9 beta release comes with brand-new wallpapers and removed some staple ones which the OS provided over the years.

The new wallpapers boast of abstract designs, planets suspended in a black background, and other styles featuring a burst of colors, 9to5Mac wrote. Some of the old wallpapers omitted by Apple are iPhone 5c's stock designs and the default iOS 9 wallpaper shown at WWDC.

Wi-Fi Calling Option

Apple's iOS 9 beta 5 also introduced a new feature that supports Wi-Fi calling for AT&T subscribers. According to 9to5Mac, the feature was previously limited to T-Mobile's network, but it now looks like that the final version of the iOS 9 will now support Wi-Fi calling in other carriers.

AT&T currently does not support the new feature from any mobile device, but the corporation said that Wi-Fi calling will be available before this year ends, the news outlet added.

Changes in CarPlay

The CarPlay interface was also graced with tweaks.

9to5Mac wrote that CarPlay now has a larger artwork and a modified design for the Now Playing Screen. In addition, the interface now allows users to "like" songs by tapping the heart button.

More Tweaks for the Keyboard

Apple also changed the glyphs on some keyboard options, such as the Delete, Shift, and Dictation keys, 9to5Mac noted.

This comes after the changes to the Shift key, which now displays the entire range of letters in the keyboard in upper case when the button is pressed, Daily Mail wrote.

Handoff/Suggested Apps & Other Tweaks

The Handoff & Suggested Apps feature has omitted the option to get Apple Store suggestions on the lock screen, 9to5Mac added. Replacing it is the suggestions for apps that have already been installed.

Other tweaks included in iOS 9 beta 5 are the Shuffle All option in the Music app, a new Calendar splash screen, text replacement, updated Activity apps design, and a small design change in Siri Suggestions.
