The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is expected to hit the market soon and users are excited about what the new phablet will offer the public compared to earlier Note versions.

There may be a lot in store for Note users who have been accustomed to the features of the the Note 4 or even the Note 3.

Below is a comparison of the upcoming Note 5 and Note 3:

Design

Computer World said that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 "shares the Galaxy S6's handsome metal-and-glass design, though it has slightly sharper corners," based from leaks of the device.

It also added that the Note 5 will also have the same specifications as the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.

"The image confirms what we have already seen, more than once, of both devices. They'll have the same screen size, at 5.7" with a 2K resolution, and will likely be decked with an Exynos processor (though there's a rumor the S6 Edge Plus may run a Snapdragon)," Computer World added.

Meanwhile, the Note 3 came with 5.7-inch display and is 8cm wide, according to Trusted Reviews.

"The Note 3 is also among the first Galaxy phones not to use a glossy rear plastic cover. Samsung has tried to fool us into thinking the Note 3 has a leather rear. It looks like leather, from a distance, and the battery cover has fake stitching around its outer edges. But make no mistake - this is not leather," added the same report.

What's on the inside?

The Note 5 is claimed to have the Exynos 7420 processor with 4 GB of RAM.

Forbes explained that the device will have an Android 5.1.1 and a 16-megapixel rear camera and 5MP front shooter.

SamMobile added that it will also have "multiple native storage options" since it is expected to ditch microSD card support.

On the other hand, GSM Arena said the Note 3 had an Exynos 5 Octa 5420 chipset. It also came with a microSD slot which could hold up to 64GB of additional memory.

As for its camera, the same report said that it had a 13MP from camera and a 2 MP secondary one.

Release Date

The Note 5 is expected to arrive during the Samsung event scheduled August 13 while the Note 3 was released two years earlier in September 2013.

Price

The Samsung tablet is said to cost around $1000 when it becomes available in the market.

When it first came out in 2013, the Note 3 was offered from $200 to $550.

Samsung indeed promises to offer a better phablet this year with the Note 5 and fans cannot wait for its release.
