Rumors containing specs and features of the new Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ have become more substantial as the IFA 2015 approaches.

In a teasing Tweet posted on July 28, the Korean company revealed that a new Galaxy device is set to be unveiled on August 13 in an event dubbed the "Galaxy Unpacked 2015."

The company also included a link to a minimalistic screen that read: "Save the date. Galaxy Unpacked 2015. 8/13/2015. Watch the presentation live here at 11:00AM (EDT)."

The cryptic message from Samsung comes three weeks after Sam Mobile reported about Injong Rhee, the company's executive vice president, accidentally revealing the timeframe for the release of the new Galaxy Note 5 during a conference with investors.

While talking about Samsung Pay, Rhee accidentally revealed that the new Galaxy Note would be unveiled to the public during the annual event scheduled this September - a tradition the Korean company has followed for the past years.

This year, the IFA 2015 begins on September 4 which, says the report, may be the same time the Galaxy Note 5 would be revealed.

Since the two new large-screened devices have been paired and compared in rumors, this may lead people to think that the new Samsung Galaxy Edge+ would be released during the same period, especially after a complete specs sheet was leaked.

According to GSM Arena, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ would be a beefed up version of the Galaxy S6 Edge sporting a bigger body and larger screen size of 5.5-inches.

The screen would also be enhanced to show clearer images with 534 ppi and 2K resolution.

Under the hood, the bigger version of S6 Edge would be run by the same Exynos 7420, 4GB RAM and Mali-T760 GPU that powers its predecessor.

In terms of image capturing capacity, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+, with model number SM-G928, is seen to have a similar 16MP rear snapper and a 5MP front-facing camera.

However, the website provided ample disclaimers that these are all just rumors and that there is virtually no way to tell ahead of time whether or not they are indeed factual.

"There's no way to verify the credibility of these rumors, but given the amount of detail they give and the fact that most of it matches with other reports we are willing to give them the benefit of doubt. Either way, we will know the full story come August 13," GSM Arena explained.
