Sony Xperia M5 & C5 Mid-Range Smartphone Specs: Upgraded Front and Rear Camera, Release Date in August, Colors and Screen Size

The Sony Xperia M5 and C5 Ultra mid-range smart phones are real after all. They had been the subject of some hot rumors leaked to a thirsty public that can't drink enough android anything, but the official word is out and they will be coming to select markets by mid August. Both phones showcase Sony's leadership in the smart phone market and offer innovative features.
In the words of Tony McNulty, Vice President, Value Category Business Management at Sony Mobile Communications: "We are pleased to present two new products that highlight Sony's advances in camera technology. We understand that camera capabilities are important to smart phone users, so we ensured that Sony's existing camera brilliance was once again surpassed in the new Xperia C5 Ultra and Xperia M5 without compromising on other features across design and performance."
Known as the "super mid-ranger," the Sony Xperia M5 features an innovative waterproof design for those moments when you must make a call or take a picture and find yourself stuck in a thunderstorm. It offers the quality and performance one would expect to see in a digital camera. Optics are state-of-the-art, featuring a rear camera clocking in at 21.5 MP. Like its counterpart, the C5 Ultra, the M-5 boasts of a 13 MP front-facing selfie machine. It comes in three colors; black, white and gold. If in the market for something smaller than a "phablet," the Xperia M5 is smaller than the C5 Ultra. It also has a simple 6-inch HD display.
The C5 Ultra is beautiful, sleek and very stylish with its glass finish on both sides. It is the industry's first smart phone to incorporate a twin 13-mega pixel front and rear camera. It promises dazzling high-resolution imagery achieved via Sony Exmor RS sensor tech, HDR and auto pre-set modes. It also offers an innovative 6-inch HD IPS nearly display which makes viewing videos and pictures a quality experience. The Xperia C5 Ultra's 22 mm wide-angle lens allows for creativity as more can fit within the frame. This smartphone comes in black, white and a glossy soft mint.
Sony hopes these two new smart phones will help the company maintain their leadership in the smart phone market, Responding to the burgeoning 'selfie' craze, they decided to focus on adopting a significant camera in the front. They have also added a myriad of other camera applications to produce more memorable selfies including Sony's enhanced Selfie Flash, Face in Picture, AR Mask and Style Portrait.
