"Madden NFL 16" is coming this month and EA Sports has recently revealed its top-rated players on various positions.
According to Bleacher Report, among those listed in the top players are the best safeties in the league who provide "your team's last line of defense."
EA Sports also listed the top safeties for the game as revealed below:
1. Eric Weddle (San Diego Chargers)
His 2014 performance was remarkable and it opened a big new contract for him the following year. His record is 84 Speed, 83 Tackle, 77 Hit Power, and 94 PREC/66 MCV/91 ZCV.
2. Earl Thomas III (Seattle Seahawks)
Thomas's record is at 90 Speed, 75 Tackle, 72 Hit Power, and 83 PREC/83 MCV.
3. Kam Chancellor (Seattle Seahawks)
Chancellor is considered to be one of the "biggest and tallest" defensive backs in the NFL with 83 Speed, 85 Tackle, and 77 PREC/64 MCV/83 ZCV.
4. Devin McCourty (New England Patriots)
McCourty stands at 96 Zone Coverage, 87 Man Coverage, 87 Play Recognition, and 90 Speed.
As for the punters and defensive tackles, EA Sports has presented separate lists for the two positions.
For the punters, Pat Mcafee of the Indianapolis Colts, Johnny Hekker of the St. Louis Rams, Matt Bosher of the Atlanta Falcons, Thomas Morstead of the New Orleans Saints and Sam Martin of the Detroit Lions were included in the top list.
On the other hand, some of the best defensive tackles named were Ndamukong Suh of the Miami Dolphins, Gerald McCoy of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Marcel Dareus and Kyle Williams of the Buffalo Bills, Aaron Donald of the St. Louis Rams and Haloti Ngata of the Detroit Lions.
These players will all be part of the much-awaited NFL video game installment.
According to the official EA Sports website, "Madden NFL 16" will come with the Play Ball - or the Ball Hawk - feature, which "ensures the most aggressive path possible to the ball."
With this move, the player could handle the ball by holding the triangle button until the pass is released.
"Play Ball is the best way to challenge the receiver for the catch, but comes at the risk of triggering a catch animation behind the receiver and giving up a big play," EA Sports tipped.
Other great moves within the game are the play receiver (hold the A/X button once the pass is thrown to the receiver), organic gang tackles (physics-based), defensive quick adjustments and other improvements, such as the elimination of warping from the tackling system.
Featured on this year's cover is New York Giants Pro Bowl wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. who outclassed New England Patriots' Rob Gronkowski to become the "Madden NFL 16" cover athlete.
Set for release on Aug. 25, "Madden NFL 16" will run for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
It can be pre-ordered from EA Sports' official website.
