The finale of The Bachelorette aired last night, marking a close to Season 11 of the ABC show. [Spoiler Alert] Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe chose Shawn Booth over contestant Nick Viall in the finale, making Viall, who came in second when Andi Dorfman was Bachelorette last season, a runner-up for the second time.

Nick's Proposal (quotes from Us Magazine):

"The reason I showed up in the first place was that I just felt something about you and it was a feeling that I always wanted to feel about someone. I look at you and I think about how in love I am with you and what you mean to me. I'm not ready to let you go and I don't want to let us go."

"I look at you and I have such confidence in you and in us and I am yours forever if you'll have me."

Kaitlyn's Rejection:

"I'm sorry. I know that we talked about if I didn't feel this, that I would let you know and I don't want to take away - because I did need every single second that we've had together. ... I've looked for everything and I want to find something that has gone wrong. The only explanation that I have is that my heart is just with somebody else."

Shawn's Proposal:

"When I went to introduce myself and you grabbed my hands, I felt something that I've never felt before. These past couple months we've made some incredible memories and through all the highs and the lows, the ups and the downs, I would not change any of it because it led us here, tonight. You have exceeded all expectations, more than I could ever have imagined."

"I fall more and more in love with you every time I see you and I look at you and I see a best friend, a partner in crime, a teammate, the love of my life. You have already made me the happiest guy in the world and all I want to do is make you the happiest girl in the world. I love you so much, Kaitlyn."

Kaitlyn's Acceptance:

"The truth is you light me up and make me laugh and, most importantly, you allow me to be myself. I never want you to question what we have ever again because I am completely yours. I will always be faithful to you. I have been waiting so long to tell you how I feel because I love with all of my heart like I've never loved anybody before. I can't wait to make a lifetime of memories with you and only you because you are the one and you always will be."

Then there was the wrap-up to the episode, which saw both Shawn and Kaitlyn meet individually with Nick, who was civil for the most part but clearly hurting from coming so close yet again and not winning.
