With the premiere of Caitlyn Jenner's E! series "I am Cait," the former Olympian received good reviews from critics appreciating her work as something done with "good taste."
In a review, Time said that the small moments in the show made it really stand out and live up to the expectations of the people as one of the most anticipated reality TV shows.
"The Caitlyn Jenner story-that of the former Olympian and Keeping Up With the Kardashians star who announced earlier this year she had long identified as a woman-was depicted with an abundance of good taste," said Time.
Time added that the show has made its mark early on because it was willing "to risk boring the viewer."
The same report also said that the life of Jenner was also depicted in the correct manner highlighting her battle together with other transgenders.
She is now recognized for her victory not only in her career but also in her life in courageously accepting who she really is.
"The first episode of I Am Cait felt both like a well-earned victory lap and a move into a second phase," said Time.
In a similar report, The Guardian said that Jenner has assumed great responsibility for the transgender community.
"What a responsibility I have towards this community. I just hope I get it right. I feel tremendous responsibility here because I have a voice and there are so many trans people out there who do not have a voice," she said in the TV series.
She was shown sitting in a bed wearing a robe sans the makeup which made her look worried.
Jenner said she feels bad for those people going difficult times in their life because of their sexual orientation.
"We don't want people dying for this. We don't want people murdered for this stuff. Am I going to do everything right? Am I going to say the right things? Do I project the right image? My mind's just spinning with thoughts," added the former Olympian.
The Guardian said Jenner wanted to project this image amid cases of transgender attempting to kill themselves because of adjustment issues and depression.
In a surprising twist, Washington Post said that Kim Kardashian and rapper husband Kanye West appeared during the first episode alongside Kylie Jenner's touching scene with the former Kardashian patriarch.
"Kanye and I have never really been very close. But I love his open mindedness and I love how he's helped Kim come to grips with what's going on," said Jenner of Kim's husband.
Meanwhile, the four children of Jenner during her first marriage did not participate in the show.
Surely, a captivating first episode will have the fans waiting for the next ones.
