The official music video for Demi Lovato's "Cool for the Summer" is finally here.

Featuring a sizzling hot and seductive Lovato, the video debuted on July 23 via YouTube much to the delight of the former Disney star's fans.

Watch the clip below. You can download the song on iTunes or stream it here.

The music video, which was directed by Hannah Lux, featured Lovato wearing skin tight outfits showing off her enviable bod, MTV wrote. At one point, the recording artist was shown lying in bed donned in a skimpy blue bathing suit and a red feather boa.

Lovato's latest clip is clearly showing the new direction her music is going into, which means that she is done with singing somber tunes and will now establish her badass side.

"I'm no longer serious. I'm done with the sob stories and the tales," she revealed in an interview on "On Air with Ryan Seacrest," as quoted by a separate report from MTV. "New chapter, new life, new album, new single, this is a completely new Demi."

She continued, "It's been so long just focusing on kind of people-pleasing, making everybody happy with being the best role model that I could be, and I think at the end of the day I am outspoken about the things I believe in - about mental health, advocacy work, I have my own charity, all these things that make me a role model. But at the same time none of these things are representing the badass that I am."

"Cool for the Summer" was announced by the 22-year-old singer on June 26 through her official Twitter page. According to a report from Billboard, the track marks her first new music after her 2013 album, "Demi," which contains the songstress' hit songs such as "Really Don't Care," "Heart Attack," "Made In the USA," "Nightingale," and "Neon Lights."

The single is also Lovato's first release under Safehouse Records, her joint venture with Nick Jonas and Phil McIntyre, Music Times wrote.

Last February, Lovato revealed that her fifth studio album will be her "best work yet" and will showcase "game changing music." She also said that the record will be "authentic" and will represent who she really is and the voice she has inside.

In her interview with Seacrest, Lovato said that her upcoming record will feature different types of music, such as rock/pop, "provocative songs," and "a lot of rhythmic flares," MTV added.
