In case you didn't catch the feud between Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift on Twitter - it was intense.

Especially when Katy Perry decided that there was too much Bad Blood and waded into the pool of guts and gore to take Team Anaconda as well.

Okay, back up. It all started when Nicki Minaj took to Twitter her feels following the 2015 MTV Video Music Award nominees announcement. The rapper felt snubbed when she received only three nominations to Taylor Swift's nine.

Minaj called out the music industry for being racist, telling her 19.8 million fans on the microblogging site, "If I was a different 'kind' of artist, Anaconda would be nominated for best choreo and vid of the year as well."

She went on: "Ellen [DeGeneres] did her own anaconda video and did the #choreo lol. Remember her doing that kick. Even mtv did a post on the choreo @MTV remember? U couldn't go on social media w/o seeing ppl doing the cover art, choreo, outfits for Halloween...an impact like that & no VOTY nomination?"

Meanwhile, Tay believed that the jab was directed at her and appeared to take the rant personally, so she took it to herself to tweet the 32-year-old rapper, "@NICKIMINAJ I've done nothing but love & support you. It's unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot."

The exchange then became a commentary about race and feminism, as noted by the Los Angeles Times, with body image issues and glorifying women who take their clothes off, among other things.

Then Katy Perry interjected her own jab directed to Taylor with a tweet that said, "Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman..."

Fans noticed that exchange, and took it to their own Twitter accounts as they settled for a fight. They have acknowledged that a drama is starting on twitter, and they're settling with popcorn and a lot of memes.

E! News listed some of the most common reactions, and fans are loving the shade getting thrown all around. Some even joked that figurative hair-pulling would be next.

Truly, who would not want to watch celebrity catfights unfoldiing before their very eyes - even when it's just on Twitter?

One fan even tweeted, "Katy Perry & Taylor Swift need to stop shading each other and box already. It's long overdue."

Shots have been fired, and fans can't wait to see how this will play out at the actual VMAs. Who do you think will win this war?
